Brandnew & fresh! Concerning the “Pro and Amateur” Contest we start this year with a completly new concept . We choose the Ski and Snowboard “STANDOUT RIDER”, those who impress us, the judges and the crowd the most during the whole opening weekend and stay in our memories. No contest pressure á la “Olympia”, no points deducted by hand in the snow. It’s all about the overall impression at the various sessions on the mountain!
This gives you and the Pros the absolute “laid back atmosphere” and freedom back. On top of that the amateurs can directly challenge with the Pro´s and also have the chance to win big prize money. WATCH OUT THE TIMETABLE!

Cash 4 Tricks Session
The boys from Innsbruck Scene Crew „Sane!“ will kick off the 34. Kaunertal Opening and the start into a new season on Friday noon. Show us your skills after the summer break at the “Jib’n’Skate Playground” in front of the glacier Restaurant and catch some Cash 4 Trick as well as one of 3 WILDCARDS for the first ever “KTO INVITATIONAL-NIGHT RAILJAM“, which will go down on Saturday evening at the After Ride Streetparty. Don’t miss the chance to show the invited Pros who drops the hammer.

Session by Prime Skiing
On Friday all the Freeskiers will also get the chance to show their skills at the Cash 4 Tricks Session at the Jib’n’Skate Playground in front of the restaurant and win some decent money for the rest of the weekend. Beside the possibility to win some cash you can get one of 3 WILDCARDS for the Invitational Night Rail Jam at the Streetparty !

OPEN JUDGED RAIL AND KICKER SESSION
For this session a “judging zone” of the #naturerun will be marked and your free run will be scored by the judges within the given time. The zone will offer a variable setup from kickers to innovative rail combos. There are no limits to your creativity, come along and show us what you can do!

Desperados Heavy Metal Rail Jam powered by Nitro
Saturday it will be loud around the Jib’n’Skate Playground on the glacier! Cuz Desperados invites all Snowboarders and Freeskiers to the Desperados Heavy Metal Jib’nSkate Jam. Besides and synchronal to heavy tricks on the rails you will also get to hear heavy beats coming from the heavy metal band WEEDOOM which will perform live simultaneously. Don’t miss it – Starting at 1:00pm!
One more time the best 3 Snowboarders will get the chance win WILDCARDS to qualify for the first “KTO INVITATIONAL -NIGHT RAILJAM” at the After Ride Streetparty in the valley on the same day!

Wake up Girls! To fight the soreness of Sunday morning after 2 challenging KTO Days (and nights) all motivated ladies are invited for an easy „SHRED UNIT GIRLS JAM“ where you can win up to 300€ prize money! After a short wake- and warm up its time for a decent shred together. Take the chance to successfully complete the KTO weekend and perhaps even take some cash home with you.
