BLUEBIRD DAYS, NEW CONTEST FORMAT, SESSIONS AND OPTIMAL SNOW CONDITIONS!
3 “bluebird” days, the best prepared autumn setup, lots of cool sessions, a new contest format, legendary club nights and the very latest test material – the 34th Kaunertal Opening had a lot to offer and couldn’t have been any better. The famous “laid back” atmosphere of the Snowpark Kaunertal is back and now open daily.

The #Naturerun with a length of 2 km was newly built last year and extended again and adapted with new rails and made every “park rat” hearts beat faster. Whether pro or beginner, the “Naturerun 2.0” offers something for every level. For the first time there was also some wooden features. These provided an additional boost of motivation, radiant faces and fat tricks in the longest park in Europe. Due to the fat snow reserves from spring, the park was in absolute top condition this year – perfectly shaped and bigger than ever before at the opening.
Those who had not yet found the right stuff for this season could try out the latest material from over 35 brands at the three-day-long free Testival. Beats, workshops, chill areas, side events, competitions and numerous sessions framed the Testival. In addition to the Snowpark and Testival, everyone had the chance to skate on the pump track and the Mini Ramp, improve their balance in the Balance Board Park and even refresh their avalanche skills in the LVS Workshop by Ortovox for the coming season or develop their mental skills at the mental coaching.

This year the 34th KTO celebrates the beginning of a new season and the Naturerun 2.0 offers again the longest run in Europe for the first Shred days of the year – if that’s no reason to celebrate! The run leads from the top station of the Karlesjochbahn through various sections back to the gondola and the KTO Event Area! In this endless run everybody will have loads of fun – with a mixture of creative snow and nature features as well as jibs and jumps, there is something for all riding levels!

Brandnew & fresh! Concerning the “Pro and Amateur” Contest we start this year with a complete new concept. We’ll choose the Ski and Snowboard “STANDOUT RIDER”, those who impress us, the judges and the crowd the most during the whole opening weekend and stay in our memories. No contest pressure á la “Olympia”, no points deducted by hand in the snow. It’s all about the overall impression at the various sessions on the mountain!

The KTO-CLUB CIRCLE: … that’s when Zapadello will transform to the „Music Club“, Pfiff Alm converts to the „DJ Corner“ and the Quellalpin hall will become a Dance Hall with Live Visuals, DJs, Live Bands for the 2 best nights of the season! With only this one ticket you´ll have access to it all which means Club hopping all night long! Different genres like HipHop, Reggae and Dancehall and this year new a 90ies Techno Night will be combined and give you just the party you need.
